DaYUUM threw a big party at Mash Up 2 for the Guppy Tea House Temple City grand opening, so when Guppy Tea House started planning a new location in West Covina, CA, you knew another major event was in the works too.
The Summer Shindig, gave people a Hawaii-like luau to cope with the recent summer heat in the SoCal. And it was truly just like Hawaii; with overcast, humidity, and even spots of light rain here and there. All this added to the awesome atmosphere on the night as the weather stayed clear and kept the guests from feeling too hot or too cold, well at least too cold (more on that later, hehe).
Just like the last event, we here at Scion Evolution were glad to be able to lend a helping hand to our DaYUUMfam. Much of the crew was out there early helping set up before getting in position to help direct the flow of traffic and reserved parking for the event.
But the rides didn’t stop there. Front and center from the Guppy entrance there were a triplet of Lamborghinis as well as couple of Ferraris. To the side there were a row of GTR’s gathered. And this was in addition to the gorgeous cars Purist Group and MB junkies brought to the event.
Even the man of the hour himself, David, had his Guppy orange CLK63 AMG on display.
Oh and if you haven’t already noticed, when DaYUUM throws a car show they always try to do more than just have cars. To kick off things off, the reggae cover band Pacific Noize gave an amazing performance. This was followed by the visual and audio appealing tunes by DJ Skitz from Awthentik Vibes.
The entire event was a chill kickback that included four of the Diamond Dozen models; Monique Lagorce, Franchesca Del Carpio, Joling Ferro, and Thao Nguyen; heating it up for the spectators. By day they we surrounded by photographers getting shots with various cars. And by night they took the stage to go-go along to DJ Skitz’ music.
Thanks to all the crews that rolled in, restaurant goers, city officials, 5-0 (they were on our side!), media personnel, all the spectators, and everyone in between; it was great seeing the crowd and hanging with good people.
And of course a big congratulations to David on opening up his 7th location! Now the only thing left is just wondering and waiting to see what’s in store for Mash Up 3!!
