WHAT!? Another event? Already? So soon!
Yup after pulling an all nighter in West Covina for the DaYUUM/Guppy Tea House Summer Shindig, we were up bright and early at Irwindale Speedway for Longo Scion‘s 10 year anniversary / Longo Lexus‘ Pursuit4. Some of us overslept, but we all made it with a nice big 8 +1 car display courtesy from Young from FRS86. Thanks dude!
Partnering up with DaYUUM (@instadayuum), we kept it simple displaying Yogi’s (@yogifatlace) epic Fatlace GS sitting on AirRex Suspension (@airrexusa) spread out in the middle and flared out the rest of the Scion Evolution cars around him and our tents. I think it came out pretty good for thinking that early in the morning with only an hour or so of sleep.
As a crew, we had a good assortment of Scions at all different levels. From mild, to TRD’d out, to complete Showstopper. We even had a couple unicorns stabled at the ends of our space with Dave’s TOYBOX and Julian’s (@julzdragon) WOWZ3RS 1st Gen xBs, true OG’s of the Scion scene.
The rest of the lot was just as diverse; while the majority was filled with Scion and Lexus cars, there were a couple other brands as well. Some Toyotas, Hondas, Subbies, and even a GTR and a Ferrari.
Its rare to see 1 LFA, let alone having 4 on display at 3 different booths. Toyo Tires had a rather nice layout with a yellow LFA and blue BMW.
Mike (@mvdesignz) of MV Designz joined the FRS86 booth with the Tea brothers Young (@young_tea) and Meng (@m_tea), Noel (@canibeatnoel), and 86fest‘s Mike (@ragingspam) to form the cleanest collection of FR-S’s around.
Of the bunch, Meng’s build has been a perfect blend of show worthy and track ready. And he proved it on the track against his buddy, Danny (@jdmzipties) and his S2k.
Speaking of drag races…
Oh no party can go on without some good eats! While the Lexus owners munched on some classic In-n-Out burgers and fries, the Scion owners lined up for delicious sausage and balls by Seoul Sausage (@seoulsausage)! Thanks Ted (@tedwkim), hopefully our big order didn’t back you up too much!
It was a fun event throughout, especially when you get MotorMavens‘ Antonio (@antoniosureshot) to announce the raffle! It wasn’t rigged or anything, but I did win an AEM intake, haha. Thank you Longo for being such great hosts and thanks again to FRS86 for helping us be a part of the show.
